Pickleball Social hosts social play at Orleans School, Richmond Road on Sunday afternoons.
Below is the schedule of social play at Richmond. You can also view this and book on our Bookwhen booking page.
What are Socials?
Socials are drop in sessions where you can come and play pickleball. They are fun and welcoming and a great way to meet fellow pickleballers in your area.
We usually play for 10 minutes or a full game depending on the number of players attending. After the 10 minutes we swap partners around which keeps it fast paced and social!
At Richmond we have different courts depending on levels to keep the games balanced. The levels are improver, intermediate and advanced. If you’re not sure then please contact us.
Who Can Play at the Socials?
Socials are for players who have played pickleball before. This is to be fair to the regular players. You must know:
- How and where to serve either using the drop serve or volley serve.
- Use the main shots including ground strokes, volleys, dinks and drops.
- The main rules of the game including the 2 bounce rule, no volley zone and why you should keep out of the kitchen!
- How to score properly.
- Where to stand before a point starts.
